Manos Amigas Guatemala

The Manos Amigas Centre in Guatemala is a safe heaven that provides education and health care to children and their mothers through self-management and women's empowerment.

A project born in the 80's thanks to Sister Marcella which has changed the lives of over 5,000 children and their mothers.

How are your monies spent?
90% of all donations are spent on the children, the mothers and on the Centre in Guatemala. Only 10% is spent in administration.

The Centre

The Manos Amigas centre is located in San Andrés Itzapa, Chimaltenango, Guatemala.

The philosophy of the Centre is not only to offer these mothers and their children a home to start a new life. It is above all to offer a period of tranquility and peace to train and learn skills to provide a long-term future in society. in order to be able to train and realize jobs that can later be performed in society.
