We are so pleased that a project we put forward to the community of San Andrés Itzapa is finally being realized.
Beginning with holy mass, a special procession follows. As you can see, our students, staff, teachers and mothers are all preparing for the procession
We hope you all have a great Easter! God bless you all!
The women of the foundation have now begun their classes, and today enjoyed their very first baking class.
One of our favourite moments of the day is between 1:30pm and 3:00pm when the girls and boys from our local school partake in Zumba classes.
Collaboration is one of our important principles. Our local Psychologist Laura Batz and Mrs. Matea – one of the mothers at the foundation , join forces to create soap for washing clothes and the body.
We cannot thank enough The Ministry of Health for paying a visit from Chimaltenango, as they conducted mosquito fogging across the entire centre.
We are very fortunate to have received so many guests in these last two months. We had a visit from Dragoman – a tour company who support us, and who visit the foundation on trips between Mexico City and Antigua.
We inaugurated a few weeks ago the bakery and pastry course which the Municipality of San Andrés Itzapa is kindly offering our primary students.
Classes with Mario Romani are still taking place here at Manos Amigas.
